Paso Robles at a Glance
Located halfway between San Francisco
and Los Angeles, the charming city of
Paso Robles is set amongst one of California's
fastest growing vineyard and winery regions. With over 75 wineries,
including many that offer tastings and tours, Paso Robles draws wine connoisseurs
to the area throughout the year. However, Paso Robles offers much more than wine
tasting, as it is home to the Paso
Robles Pioneer Museum, the Estrella
Warbird Museum and four public golf
courses. The city also hosts several well-known fairs and festivals, including
the California
Mid-State Fair. This 12-day event takes place at the end of July and early
August and features renowned musical acts, agricultural demonstrations and a carnival.
Other festivals include the Harvest
Wine Tour in October and the Paso
Robles Wine Festival in May, both involving many wineries showcasing their
handcrafted wines. Those wishing to stay overnight in Paso Robles are pleased
with the city's wide range of unique accommodation options.
